The accreditation authorizes Twala to provide electronic notarization services nationwide under the Court's 2025 Rules on Electronic Notarization. The accreditation marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the Supreme Court's electronic notarization framework and advances the country's transition toward legally recognized digital transactions.

Electronic notarization allows qualified documents to be notarized digitally in accordance with the Supreme Court's Rules, reducing the need for in-person appearances in eligible transactions while improving accessibility, efficiency, and security.

The recognition marks a significant milestone for Twala, whose platform combines digital signatures, electronic notarization, identity verification, and AI-powered document lifecycle management. Built on blockchain and public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies, Twala enables tamper-evident, cryptographically verifiable digital transactions for high-trust use cases across the government, legal, enterprise, and financial sectors.

Electronic notarization has been contemplated under Philippine law since the enactment of the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000. The Supreme Court's 2025 Rules on Electronic Notarization established the operational framework needed to implement that vision.
