What AI Connectors Do for Your Team: 7 Everyday Benefits of Connecting Twala to Your AI Assistant

Most of the work around a signature isn’t signing. It’s checking who still hasn’t signed, resending to a corrected email, reminding the same three people, and finding a notary who can take the document this week. Twala’s AI connectors move that work into the AI assistant you already use, through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), on every plan and at no extra charge.
If you haven’t connected one yet, our introduction to AI connectors walks through what they are and how to connect one. Here is what teams get out of it.
1. Status in one question
“Which of my envelopes are still waiting for a signature, and who hasn’t signed?” A connected assistant answers from your real envelopes in Twala: each recipient’s status, and when they were invited, opened, finished, or declined. No dashboard to filter, no spreadsheet to update.
2. Follow-up without the busywork
“Remind everyone who still has to sign this month’s service agreements.” The assistant sends a reminder to whoever’s turn it is, once a day per envelope, exactly as Twala would. A good assistant asks you first, and Twala marks every action that changes something so it knows to.
3. Sending from a sentence
“Send our standard NDA template to the new supplier’s managing director.” The assistant creates the envelope from your template, fills the role with the name and email you give it, and sends it, or saves it as a draft for you to check. It can also build an envelope from PDFs already in one of your workspaces.
4. Fixes in seconds
A lease renewal went to an old email address? Ask the assistant to correct the recipient who hasn’t finished. An envelope went out by mistake? It can void it, or delete a draft. A seal failed? It can retry sealing.
5. Your week, in context
Connectors read your appointments between two dates too, so you can ask what consultations and notarizations you have coming up, alongside the envelopes they depend on. Notaries can check their own hours and booking rules.
6. The right lawyer or notary
Describe what you need, “a notary for a deed of sale in Makati, in Filipino”, or a lawyer for a labor complaint, and the assistant searches Twala’s Partner Network for the people who fit, the same way Find a lawyer based on your needs does on the Partner Network page. It can also look someone up by name or roll number, and it links to each profile.
7. Answers about Twala itself
Not sure how something works? A connected assistant can read the Twala user manual, the same help pages Lex reads, and tell you how Twala does it, where to click, and what a message means.
What it can never do
The benefits come with firm limits, by design. A connected assistant:
- Never signs, approves, or declines anything for anyone, you included. Signing is always done by the person signing, in Twala.
- Never reads what your documents say: no document text, no values recipients entered, no downloads, and no signed copies. It sees names, people, statuses, and dates.
- Never notarizes, books or cancels appointments, timestamps new documents, or changes your account.
- Sees only what you can see, and can do only what you can do.
Accountable by default
Everything a connected assistant does is recorded as done by you, through that tool. Each line it causes on an envelope’s Activity ends with “through” and the tool’s name, and the Signing Certificate’s audit trail says the same. Twala emails you every time a tool is connected, a connection belongs only to the person who approved it, and Disconnect in AI connectors cuts it off at once. A connection unused for 30 days ends on its own.
For a team, that means an assistant’s work is as traceable as a person’s, so you can say yes to the time it saves without losing sight of who did what.
Your data and AI training
Twala never uses your data to train AI. What a connected assistant reads from Twala goes to that assistant, and its provider’s terms decide what happens to it there, so connect only tools whose terms you are comfortable with.
